  • What is HEROIC?
    HEROIC was originally formed by a group of costumers who were dedicated to creating quality costumes, and later became an official 501(c)3 charity. We all have “normal” day jobs, but we wanted some way to give back to our community. We’re particularly dedicated to helping charities as well as educational events.

    What kind of events do you do?
    We at HEROIC are here to support our community the best we can! We prefer to do events that support charities and educational events. However, if your business needs us to promote a good cause, we’re willing to help!

    Do you do birthday parties?
    Unfortunately, we do not attend birthday parties. The members of HEROIC like portraying our characters, but we are not entertainers.

    I want you to come to my event in two days! Can you attend? How much notice do you need?
    We require two weeks notice, minimum. All of us have regular jobs, responsibilities, and families. We need time to arrange for these things to be taken care of in order to attend your event.

    Can you do this at any time of the day, during any day of the week?
    All of us have regular jobs, responsibilities, and families. We need time to arrange for these things to be taken care of in order to attend your event. Please bear this in mind while requesting our time. We tend to be able to do Saturdays without too much difficulty, but even then we like as much advance notice as we can get! Depending on how much you need us and the type of event you are requesting us for, we may be able to accommodate your request.

    How far will you travel?
    It depends on the type, size, and time of the event requested. Depending on the cause, we may be willing to come out to help you! Contact us to discuss the details of what you need.

    Can we hire you or pay for your time?
    HEROIC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do take donations, if you would like (see below).

    Can we make a donation?
    Sure! Anything helps.

    Can I have specific characters show up to my event?
    We will do the best we can to send any specific characters to your events. However, we need some advance notice, and even then we cannot guarantee that specific characters are available for the dates requested. All of us have regular jobs, responsibilities, and families, and we’ll need time to arrange for these things to be taken care of in order to attend your event.

    What characters do you have?
    Our primary focus is on comic book characters, video game characters, and princesses. We also have characters from certain movies, anime, and some general science fiction/fantasy/adventure stories.

    Have all your members completed a background check?
    Yes, it is a requirement to be a member of our organization. We renew background checks annually.

    I don’t have a costume. Can I still join?
    Sure! We have what we call a “handler” position in the group that allows people to help out at various events.
